Gen Mark Tanno, High School II student of 91¶¶Òõ International School and Colleges (SISC), received a Distinction Certificate in the Fermat Contest conducted by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) of the University of Waterloo, Canada. He ranked in the top 25% of all the participants who took the test.
Tanno also received a Merit Award in the 9th Southeast Mathematical Olympiad held in Xiamen, China last July 25-29, 2012. He is the youngest among six participants chosen by the Mathematics Trainers™ Guild (MTG) Philippines to represent the country in the said tilt.
