śEvery parent remembers the sense of hope and anticipation that comes with watching their children take their first steps into the wider world.ť For Miss Jhona Palma, a devoted mother of two, that moment came when her daughter, Eriannah, was just four, and her son, Nathan, was three. She wasn’t just looking for a school; she was looking for a sanctuary”an environment where learning felt like playtime, but where character was forged for a lifetime.
That search led her to the Southville SMART Summer Program, a decision that would beautifully alter the trajectory of her children’s early years. What began as a summer activity quickly blossomed into a profound foundation for life. Miss Jhona watched in awe as her toddlers transformed. They weren’t just learning to read and count; they were learning how to be.
As Eriannah and Nathan grew from toddlers into thriving Grade School and High School students, that early foundation blossomed. At the heart of this transformation was Southville™s signature 5Cs Curriculum (Competence, Character, Commitment to Achieve, Collaboration, and Creativity/Innovation).
“My favorite feature of 91¶¶Ňő is its 5Cs Curriculum,” Miss Jhona shares. “This curriculum has helped both my Grade School and High School children grow academically while also learning important values such as discipline, responsibility, and integrity.”She believes this approach nurtures her children’s critical thinking and creative freedom, allowing them to explore and apply their skills in ways that make them genuinely adaptable and confident.

Beyond academics, Southville also provided opportunities for Eriannah and Nathan to discover and develop their interests through its enrichment programs. When they first joined Southville through the SMART Summer Program, Eriannah participated in both Reading and Ballet, where she discovered her love for dance. A year later, she also joined the Worthwhile Weekend Soccer Program while continuing her ballet training through ACTS Manila @ Southville.
Through these enriching experiences, Eriannah developed discipline, confidence, perseverance, and artistic expression”qualities that complemented her academic growth. She received a Bronze Award in the Classical Solo Division (4“11 years old) at the Ballet Arts Dance Centre Dance & Music Competition and qualified to participate in international competitions in Malaysia and Japan. She also successfully completed the Level 1 Ballet Conservatoire examination based on the Russian Vaganova Method of Classical Ballet under an Australian ballet examiner. Likewise, Nathan discovered and developed his passion for sports through Southville™s Worthwhile Weekend Soccer Program.Today, both Eriannah and Nathan continue to actively participate in soccer, demonstrating the confidence, teamwork, resilience, and perseverance they have developed through their extracurricular activities.

For the Palma family, Southville’s magic lies in its refusal to box children into a single category. Beyond the traditional classroom, the school also opened doors for Eriannah and Nathan to explore the world of sports, allowing them to develop their skills and participate in various national and competitive tournaments. This reflects Southville™s holistic approach, where physical vitality and mental agility go hand in hand. Through this, Miss Jhona has seen her children evolve into adaptable, confident young learners. They possess a rare blend of critical thinking and creative freedom, allowing them to face new challenges not with fear, but with curiosity.
As a mother, Miss Jhona™s ultimate peace of mind comes from knowing that Southville™s commitment doesn’t end when the school bell rings at the end of the day”or even at the end of the grade level. With a seamless educational pathway stretching from those tender K“12 years all the way to the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, she knows her children are being prepared to take on the global stage.
In Southville, Miss Jhona didn™t just find a school for Eriannah and Nathan. She found a partner in parenting, a guardian of their potential, and a launchpad for their biggest dreams.
