A Basic Education student of 91¶¶Ņõ International School and Colleges, Gen Mark TannoĀ aced the National Capital Region qualifiers for the upcoming 16thĀ Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO).
Now on its 16thĀ year, the PMO is a national competition designed to select the best secondary students in mathematical problem-solving in the Philippines. Organized by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) it is open to all high school students in the Philippines to participate in this said event. The winners of the PMO will receive cash prizes and will automatically qualify to join the training pool for the 2014 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO),largest and most prestigious international mathematics competition among secondary school students from all over the world.
