For a parent, there is no greater joy than watching a child grow into a confident, professional, and successful adult. For Carol Santos, the mother of Andee Santos, that journey is deeply intertwined with Southville. Having completed both her K-12 education and her college degree at the institution, Andee™s story is a testament to the holistic development and unwavering support that Southville provides its students.
In a recent interview, Mrs. Santos proudly shared how the school™s environment, mentorship, and core values helped shape Andee into the thriving tourism professional she is today.
Fostering Confidence and Global Competence
According to Mrs. Santos, Southville goes beyond the traditional classroom setting to ensure its students truly shine in their chosen fields. For Andee, who pursued a career in tourism, the school provided remarkable avenues for growth both inside and outside the campus.
Under the school’s guidance, Andee was able to present her thesis in South Korea. Furthermore, she attended national and international conventions, which played a pivotal role in developing her self-assurance.
“Southville really helped her to shine in tourism… they guided her with mentoring and encouraged her to build whoever she is right now,” Mrs. Santos shared.
Instilling Lifelong Values and Professionalism
While academic milestones are crucial, Mrs. Santos emphasized that it is the character-building aspect of Southville that truly sets Andee apart in the workplace today. The values she learned during her years at the school”being a good person, showing empathy towards her passengers, and demonstrating unmatched diligence”continue to guide her professional life.
A standout trait that her mother highlighted is Andee’s impeccable professionalism and punctuality. Working in the demanding tourism industry often requires broken schedules and early morning shifts. Yet, Andee™s discipline remains unwavering.
“Even if her schedule is broken, like a 2:00 AM shift, she is never late,” her mother noted with pride. “She arrives at work an hour, or at the very least 30 minutes, before her shift. She carries the values she learned from Southville.”
Driven to Succeed: A Rapid Ascent in Her Career
This strong foundation of global competence and deep-rooted professional values has quickly paid off. Mrs. Santos happily announced that Andee has already secured a promotion to the next higher position in her company. Driven and determined to succeed, Andee is set to undergo her new training in March, moving yet another step up the career ladder.
Her rapid advancement is a clear reflection of a young woman who knows what she wants and has the tools, instilled by her alma mater, to achieve it.
A Proud Southville Parent
Watching Andee navigate her career with grace, empathy, and fierce determination has left her mother with nothing but gratitude and pride. The continuous mentorship, the global opportunities, and the strong moral compass provided by the school have proven invaluable.
As Mrs. Santos simply and warmly concluded with a thumbs-up to the camera: “I am Carol Santos, the mother of Andee Santos, and I can say that I am a proud Southville parent.”
